Samenah

I am a pediatric occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting children with diverse developmental and sensory needs. I practiced from 2011 to 2021 and resumed my work in Canada in 2023 after moving in 2021. I speak both Persian and English.

I completed my Bachelor’s in 2011 and my Master’s in 2014 in Occupational Therapy in Tehran. Along the way, I have continued my learning journey through different trainings and experiences. I am a certified Kids Life Studio® Coach, and have completed training in areas such as Dyadic Developmental Practice (Level 1), the Safe and Sound Protocol, and supporting children through puberty, sleep, and toileting.

My work is grounded in a neurodiversity affirming, trauma informed, and play based approach. I support children and adolescents with emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, and navigating puberty and developmental changes. My goal is to create a space where they feel safe, understood, and empowered.

Working with children truly brings me joy. They inspire me to stay creative, curious, and playful. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, spending time in nature, practicing yoga, playing the piano, and caring for my plants, which helps me stay grounded and present.
